Native plant & tree sales are a great way to find the perfect perennials, shrubs and trees for your garden. Here’s a list of plant sales in spring 2017:
Burlington
Royal Botanical Gardens’s Spring Plant Sale takes place Saturday, April 29, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at 680 Plains Road W. in Burlington, ON.
Cambridge
The Grand River Conservation Authority’s annual tree sale is May 12, 2017, from 8 a.m.-noon at 400 Clyde Road in Cambridge, Ont. Trees range from eight- to 12-inch seedlings to two- or three-foot potted trees to five- to seven-foot saplings of many species. Native wildflower mix and wildflower plugs are also available.
Guelph
Native plants can be found at the Guelph-Wellington Master Gardeners Annual Spring Plant Sale, Saturday May 27, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Exhibition Arena, 68 Division Street, in Guelph. This event is in partnership with The Guelph Enabling Garden, The Waterloo-Wellington Wildflower Society and the City of Guelph, which is offering rain barrels for sale.
Brock Road Nursery is holding a Canada 150 Celebration & Native Plant Sale June 10 & 11, 2017. The nursery is located at 1858 Gordon St. in Guelph, Ont.
Kitchener-Waterloo
Native Plant Source is open to the public Saturdays from April 29 through May 27 (9 a.m.-5 p.m.). Located at 1120 Wurster Place, Breslau, Ontario.
Muskoka
The Muskoka Conservancy is accepting orders for its native plant sale until Monday, May 1, with pick up Saturday, May 6, 2017, 9 a.m.-noon in Bracebridge and Huntsville.
Greater Toronto Area
The North American Native Plant Society will be offering native wildflowers, shrubs, trees, ferns, vines, grasses and sedges at three sales:
